Binance Research: 93% of trades in early bStocks sample were fractional shares, median trade size only $18.8

Tapbit news reported on-site on September 23 that at the "Ye Tan – Beneath the Cycle" private session, the Binance research team shared data showing that in an early sample following the launch of Binance bStocks, 93% of trades were fractional shares, with a median trade size of only $18.8, and about 80% of early trading activity came from emerging markets.

In addition, as of the July research window, bStocks accounted for 62% of trading volume during periods when traditional markets were closed. The Binance research team noted that low barriers to entry and continuous trading are generating new participation demand for stock-related assets.
